The Big Day
Thursday 14 July 2022
Our wedding will be held at Villa Teloni, Via della Villa, 20, 62027 Cesolo MC, Italy.
Please arrive around 3pm for a glass of fizz before the ceremony starts at 4pm.
Menu
As some of you may know, we visited the venue a couple of weeks ago and also got to sample a pretty delicious tasting menu. It appears that at Italian weddings, it is not unusual to have 637 courses over the course of the day, so apologies in advance if that is what you’re used to, as we’ve only gone for the very British, umm… 3.
We have chosen a mix of veggie and fish options and would be really grateful if you were able to make your selection ASAP, or by 30 April 2022 at the latest. Meals for the children will be arranged separately.

WEDDING LIST
We believe your presence is our present and coming all the way to Italy is already the best gift we could possibly ask for, so there is absolutely no need to give us anything more!
However, a few people who are unable to join us in Italy have asked if we have a Wedding List instead… We are hoping to have a Honeymoon at some point (at this rate, probably not until about 2035) and so, if you would like to contribute to helping us make that come around a little sooner, of course we would be so very grateful!
No concrete plan as yet; Sophie has suggested a beach in Mexico, and Rami is insisting on a pilgrimage to Charlottesville, Virginia, to (finally) track down Dave Matthews. At this stage it’s anyone’s guess…

Location
The wedding will be held at Villa Teloni, Le Marche, a region about halfway up the East Coast of Italy and bordering Tuscany and Umbria. The villa is set in the rolling hills of the region, right in the heart of the countryside. The closest town is San Severino, just 6km away.
San Severino is a historic town rich in monuments, churches and palaces such as the Piazza del Popolo, the Teatro Feronia, built in 1827, and the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Doliolo. There are also still large sections of walls remaining from the ancient buildings in San Severino, including two gates and their two landmark towers.
Getting There

The nearest airports are Ancona and Perugia, both about an hour’s drive fro the villa/town.
If you prefer a detour via the capital, Rome is about 3 hours away.

If you’re feeling green, travelling by train would be an incredibly scenic route to the wedding but will require some quite serious planning, as there doesn’t seem to be a very direct route beyond the Eurostar to Lyon!
Major eco-warrior props though!

And if you have the time (and inclination?), there’s always potential for a pretty epic roadtrip through France, Switzerland and Italy. It’s a 1000 mile journey, or 19 hours door-to-door!
Transport
We'll be in the countryside, so prepare yourself for some very beautiful Italian scenery… but not much in the way of public transport and taxis need to be booked well in advance!
We would strongly recommend hiring a car. If you’re not a driver, would prefer not to drive abroad, or just want someone to share the driving with, do let us know - we would be happy to link people up.
There is parking at Villa Teloni, but we are working with the venue to arrange travel from the villa back to San Severino after the wedding. We will provide more information here as soon as we have more details.
Please let us know where you'll be staying the night of the wedding as we'll do all we can to help you home smoothly!
Accommodation
We'll be staying at the wedding venue, Villa Teloni, San Severino, from 09th-16th July and there's plenty of accommodation nearby or towards the coast if you'd rather be by the sea.

Airbnb has lots of options in and around San Severino for groups of different sizes.

Expedia.com provide a few more hotel and B&B options in the surrounding area and towards the coast.
Dress Code
There is no formal dress code as it’s going to be far too hot for that!
But for reference, Sophie will be wearing a big white dress and Rami has three costume changes planned. And three caps.
Children
The wedding day is officially ‘child-free’, apart from young babies.
However, we are looking into child-care on the day, and so please let us know if you’d be interested in hearing more about this!
While We’re There
We’ll be staying at Villa Teloni for the whole week (09-16 July) so do feel free to swing by in the days leading up to the wedding! We may also squeeze in a beach day or two, if you ’d care to join... our details are below, so do keep in touch!
We’ll be gathering for drinks on the evening before the big day (13 July) and would love you to join us. More info to follow!
Apparently Italy is quite famous for its food and wine, and there will be opportunities for pizza, pasta and bread making classes at our villa, as well as wine tasting trips to local vineyards. Please do let us know in advance if this is something that may interest you!
